The Maiden Of The Mournes Festival, based on the hugely successful Rose of Tralee Festival, was first held in Warrenpoint in 1990.
Over the years, the event has gone from strength to strength with international entrants from as far afield as Russia, the USA and Australia.
From the opening day parade right through to the final evening’s selection and crowning of the new Maiden, the festival offers something for everyone of all ages, including open air entertainment in the town square each evening, daily children’s activities, a range of sporting events and a stunning fireworks display.
The week-long festival takes place in Warrenpoint each year at the beginning of August.
